Complete Dubai Holidays calendar

Annually, there are ten Dubai holidays. Seven out of ten are important dates on the Islamic calendar. Other 3 weekend is Western adopted holidays-Christmas, National day (independence day), and New year's day.

I think we have seven holiday in United States, on average, although this varies by company. I know Sunil had 17 vacation on a point. However, part of which was an annual closing period. 5 most important date of 7 dates on the Islamic calendar, however, is linked to the faith of Islam.

Ascension of the Prophet (Al Isr ' a Wal Mairaj) and the Prophet's birthday (Maulid Al-Nabi) are two significant holidays celebrated in Dubai. The other is the beginning of the period of Ramadan and the 2 festival holidays, Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha.

Both last several days and one could say that Dubai actually has more than 10 holi-days. National holiday also usually lasts 2-3 days.

Dependence of the parent

Some Islamic nations rely on nature to start and stop their holiday. Yes, there are still some who rely on the Earth, Moon and Sun position. This is because the traditional Muslim holidays were invariably by looking at the sky.

This is still even today, some (very few left) Islamic Nations. In fact, there are a handful of (Kuwait is one of them) which only predict where they are, but also completely review sky. It is incredible how anyone can do this.

And because it is difficult to convert the lunar calendar to the Gregorian calendar (the one that you and I have at home), exact holidays can be difficult to pin point in our calendars. Most of the people that time depends on a shot is fired to start their vacation. Others learn through media-newspapers, television and radio.

As Dubai is very advanced and should take his more than four-fifths of the international community, has selected holidays in its annual calendar. Imagine working in Dubai for a US company and try to guess where your vacation will begin and end?

Not all Muslim countries as holidays in Dubai

A few important things to consider is that even though Dubai holidays can be discussed here are correct for Dubai, they may be accurate for the other Gulf States, including Saudi Arabia.

Each Emirate or country is free to observe the holidays as they want. Only two of the ten holidays in Dubai, for example, is also celebrated in Saudi Arabia. I simply want to ensure you have no doubts on this important fact.

The second factor is the fact that the duration of the holiday also depart from a nation or State to another. Indeed, even within the same State (to Dubai for example), the public, private and public sectors, all of which follow different holiday lengths.

Government workers have mostly longer breaks than in the private sector. This is similar to the United States. Government staff here are usually more days than anyone working in a company.
